Magic The Gathering: Heart of the Mountain!

Ready to journey back to Middle-earth and fight for control of the Arkenstone? Join us at The PlaySpace for Magic Presents: Heart of the Mountain, a special Hobbit-themed casual Commander event! Whether you are a seasoned Planeswalker or new to the format, sleeve up your favorite deck and gather your pod for an evening of friendly multiplayer games.

Event Details

When: Saturday, September 5th, 2026

Start Time: 5:30 PM sharp

Location: Just Press Play (The PlaySpace)

Format: Casual Commander

Entry Fee: $10  

Additional Rules:

The first player to deal combat damage to another becomes the first owner of the Arkenstone. Players may then claim the Arkenstone emblem for themselves by dealing combat damage to the owner, gaining bonuses while in possession of it—and also becoming the primary target at the table!

Each turn that a player controls the Arkenstone, during their upkeep phase they increase their ownership count by one (they do not lose this count if someone takes the Arkenstone from them). If a player's ownership count reaches three, they win the game.

Players receive the promo card for participating, while supplies last.

All players will recieve their $10 entry fee back as store credit.

Additionally, the winner of each pod will earn an additional $10 in store credit.

Magic Companion App: This event is run using the Magic Companion App. For the best and easiest check-in experience, please ensure you have a Wizards Play Account set up ahead of time and the Companion App ready on your phone!
