Mario Kart World Tournament @ the JPP Playspace!

Event Rules

• Bring your own controller.
  • Otherwise you will be provided with one joy-con for Nintendo Switch.
• Players will be grouped into pods of 4 each round.
• Each pod of 4 will play 1 Versus Mode round with the following rules 
• 150cc race
• Teams: No
• Items: Normal
• CPU: None
• Tracks: Random
• No. of races: 4
• Smart steering: Not Allowed
• Auto-acceleration: Allowed
• Gyroscope: Not Allowed
• At the start of each round, players will each draw numbers (1-4) to determine order of character selection.
• Only characters / vehicles that are available at the start of the game are permitted, unlockables will not be allowed.

• After the round is finished all players must put their controllers down so the staff can take note of the in-game scores.
• The top 2 players in each pod will advance to the next round.
• In case of a tie for second place, the players who tied will play 1 race on the Baby Park track with the same ruleset. The winner will take the position and advance to the next stage.
• This process will be repeated for Round 2 (Round of 8)
• Round 3 / The Finals will follow the same rules, except there will be 5 races.
• Each player will get to pick a race, and the fifth will be rainbow road.
• Final placements will be determined by number of points at the end of the round.

Prizing

• First Place: $100 in store credit
• Second Place: $75 in store credit
• Third Place: $50 in store credit
• Fourth Place: $25 in store credit
• All other players will have their $10 entry fee reimbursed as store credit.
