MTG: The Hobbit Prerelease Event Ticket (Friday and/or Sunday)

Return to Middle-earth and experience the journey! Join us at Just Press Play for the highly anticipated Prerelease of Magic: The Gathering - The Hobbit. Be among the first to crack open packs, build a deck, and battle it out in a fun, casual environment.

Whether you're a seasoned Planeswalker or a casual fan of the Shire, this is an event you won't want to miss!

Event Schedule & Seating Capacity
We are hosting two normal prereleases on Friday 8/7 and Sunday 8/9, and our first ever Two Headed Giant on Saturday 8/8. This page is to register for a Friday or Sunday ticket. Friday Night Magic Prerelease:

• Date & Time: Friday, August 7th at 6:00 PM
• Capacity: 50 Players Max

Saturday Two-Headed Giant Prerelease:

• Date & Time: Saturday, August 8th at 1:00 PM
• Capacity: 28 Players Max (14 Teams)

Sunday Morning Prerelease

Date & Time: Sunday, August 9th at 11:00 AM

Capacity: 42 Players Max

Event Details
Format: Sealed Deck

Each player will receive a The Hobbit Prerelease Pack containing 6 Play Boosters, a foil-stamped promo card, and a Spindown life counter.

You'll build a minimum 40-card deck using your pool and basic lands (provided by the store).

Structure: 3 rounds of Swiss play (no elimination, everyone gets to play every round!)

Prizing:

Every single player walks away with extra cards just for playing, and additional The Hobbit Play Boosters are awarded based on your final record after 3 Swiss rounds:

3 Wins (3-0): 8 Total The Hobbit Play Boosters (+6 additional packs)

2 Wins (2-1): 6 Total The Hobbit Play Boosters (+4 additional packs)

1 Win (1-2): 4 Total The Hobbit Play Boosters (+2 additional packs)

0 Wins (0-3): 2 Participation The Hobbit Play Boosters

Seats are strictly capped based on our kit availability. Prerelease events always sell out! Secure your ticket ASAP by buying your ticket online!

Note: Players who buy their kit and fail to attend the event will be refunded and their prerelease kit will be subject to be sold to a walk-in customer. Additionally, players are only eligible for prize packs after playing at least one round.
