Get ready to represent your favorite era of Pokémon! At the Single Gen Showdown, we’re throwing a twist on the Standard format. While we follow official tournament structures, your deck-building skills will be put to the test: every Pokémon in your deck must originate from the same generation. Will you dominate with the Kanto classics, or will the power of Paldea take the crown? Join us for this official League Cup-style event featuring Swiss rounds and a Top Cut.

Prize Structure

We are amping up the stakes! Every single entry adds FIVE packs to the prize pool. These aren’t just any packs, they are a blast from the past, featuring one of each main set from the Mega Evolution era:

• Mega Evolution
• Phantasmal Flames
• Perfect Order
• Chaos Rising
• Pitch Black

Prize Pool Distribution (Per Age Division):

• 1st Place: 50% of Prize Pool + Exclusive Playmat
• 2nd Place: 25% of Prize Pool
• 3rd-4th Place: 12.5% of Prize Pool
• 5th-8th Place: 5 Packs (1 of each set)
• Participation: 1 Random Pack (for all other players)

Note: 5th-8th place prizing applies only to divisions with more than 12 players.

Want an extra chance to win? We are tracking generation representation! All players who choose to play the least represented generation in the tournament will be automatically entered into a raffle for a $50 JPP Gift Card.

Format & Regulations: This event will be run as an official tournament with separate age divisions (Junior, Senior, and Masters). Players must adhere to standard legality for Trainers and Special Energy, but your Pokémon selection is restricted by their generational debut. Registration Note: Please arrive 15-30 minutes early for check-in. Deck lists are required upon entry. Ensure your deck meets the "Single Gen" criteria before the first round begins! Players with generation errors in their deck will are subject to have those Pokémon replaced by Basic Energy. Players that do not have their decklist submitted by 10:50 will be considered late and may play in the tournament with a Round 1 Loss.
